mine is 24.2... Mines bigger! I win!

8 minutes? That's with hitting a stoplight for about 2 minutes. Assuming an average speed of 30 miles an hour, that would be about 4 miles.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:27 |
|
That's a trek.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:27 |

went from 32 miles one way to 6 miles one way when I switched jobs but now I'm moving a little further away and will be looking at 15 miles one way.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:27 |

10 miles each way - usually takes me 18 minutes
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:27 |

18 miles flanked by nothing but boring Iowa farmland.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:28 |

Since driving to school counts as a commute, I guess, about 4 each way.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:28 |

20.4 miles + about 1.5 miles on campus after I enter the front gate
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:28 |

12.5
I assume you'll organize all of this into a handy chart?
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:28 |

Just over 1/4 mile

Mhm. I commute with my dad though so I'm almost always the passenger. Makes it easy to see all the awesome cars on the road.

I'm not clicking that.

19.5 miles garage to parking spot.
I have no idea how far it is by train (which is what I take when it's raining or under 35 degrees)
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:32 |

22 kM one way.

Wowzers that's ~18000 miles a year just for commuting. you're a better man than I am, I couldn't do it.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:33 |

30-31 miles each way, depending on which way I take. 30-40 minutes with no traffic, up to an hour with.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:38 |

9 miles each way, whether I go freeway or side streets. I did a 70+ mile each way commute in Los Angeles for 5 years, and I vowed to never have a burdensome commute again.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:39 |

40 miles. each way.

When I'm going to school it is about 50 miles one way.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:45 |

not bad.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:47 |

39 miles, 50 minutes with normal traffic. 29 miles if I can take 295.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:48 |

39 miles each way. All highway in the opposite direction of traffic so it always flows well. Not as bad as you might think.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:49 |
|
About 7.5 miles each way.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:50 |

I enjoy this also. I love driving my car, but being a passenger allows me to do more car spotting, and take the occasional picture when I need to.

Thirty four miles, of which thirty-one are over Interstate 275, from (nominally) Lutz (1/4 mile North of Bruce B. Downs, just outside the Tampa city limits) to downtown St. Petersburg every damned morning. O how dearly I love Eye Two Seventy Five. I take the Gandy bridge and Bayshore at night because on any weekday between 4:15 PM and 7:00 PM, driving I-275 from Westshore to Malfunction Junction is simply too horrible to endure.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:50 |

Really? I fell for that because I thought no one did that anymore.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:51 |

21-25 feet, depending on where I get out of bed and how far I pushed in my chair the night before. I work from home, but don't make eleventy billion dollars a day using one simple tip from a single mom that corporate America HATES.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:51 |

7 miles round trip. I'm fortunate in that regard but moving soon so an updated value could be ANYTHING!
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:53 |

36.2 miles, 38 minutes....if I take the long, boring way.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:54 |

Last November I would've said 75 miles one way. Thankfully I now work 10 miles from my town. What was even worse about 75 mile one way commute was it was 9 am - 6 pm From Chillicothe Ohio to Polaris (North Columbus.) Now if you look this up you might call bullshit and say my commute was only 65 miles one way. You have to remember the time I was driving at though. Driving through the city center during rush hour would have been impossible so I had to take the outer belt the whole way around to the opposite side.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:55 |

12 miles one way just short of 20 minutes
![]() 07/21/2014 at 16:55 |

That's exactly the right time to bring it back.

Anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on traffic. (Yay Dc) I haven't really kept track of how many miles it is to be honest, I'd say 24 about.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:03 |
|
8.4 miles. ~30 minutes.
I have the choice of sitting in highway backups and moving at a steady 15 mph or taking surface roads and hitting 40 mph between lights. On the rare day that I happen to make all the lights on the surface roads I can make it in <15 mins but if I get unlucky and get stuck at all the lights it can push 45. On the highway it's always ~26 mins.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:08 |
|
7 miles. Takes 15 minutes or less depending on how fast I drive and whether or not I hit the two/3 stoplights on the way.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:09 |
|
10.7 miles in 15 to 20 minutes
Although today I commuted from my bedroom to the home office which is significantly shorter.

mine went down a while back. From 200 plus km each way to 5 blocks. About 1 minute. Longer with coffee pickup.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:15 |

one mile. I do it 4 times a day, because fresh sandwiches are better.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:18 |
|
6 miles. Mix of main-street 40 MPH and highway.
I can take the back way, which has more curves, but it's also only 35, single lanes, and I usually get stuck behind someone with blue hair.
Also, 2nd-gear on-ramp blasts are super-fun-time!
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:19 |

about 9 round trip. I've only put 4900 miles on my car since I bought it in January
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:26 |

32 each way.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 17:47 |

35 miles roughly. When there's no traffic it's about a 40 minute drive. With shore traffic, hour and a half.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 18:04 |

32 Miles each way. 11 MPG. Black leather interior. No AC.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 18:17 |

The twiddly bits in the middle are a fun bit of road, but during rush hour, it's rarely free of traffic. Some days, I'm at the head of the line. Those are the best days.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 18:25 |

4 miles from my house, about 14 from my girlfriends house.
My job moved to a new building, my old commute was 2 miles and about 5 minutes from stepping out the back door. I miss that, but 10 minutes isnt bad.
new job will be close to, or over 40 if i get it. I also wont be driving most of it.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 18:52 |

2.1 miles each way. About 7-12 minutes depending on the traffic and which route I take!
![]() 07/21/2014 at 20:40 |

1.5 miles, but it has been as long as 30 miles depending on which store in the supermarket chain I work for.
![]() 07/21/2014 at 20:49 |

21.3 miles each way.

23.5 each way I believe I clocked it at. So you have me beat by just a hair.
When I move to my new 2 car garage with attached 4 bedroom house next month i'm going to shave off about 8-10 miles though!

~15 minutes, with traffic. 10ish if I need to go in early and don't run into a bunch of stupid traffic. 20 if I'm super unlucky and get mixed up in the school rush.
